NFL Roundup: Albert to sign franchise tag; TE Watson to Saints

The NFL owners meetings in Phoenix spurred a flurry of activity Monday.

--Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert has accepted his one-year franchise tender of $9.828 million and will sign it soon, according to USA Today's Mike Garafolo.

--Tight end Benjamin Watson signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, who also re-signed Ramon Humber.

--Linebacker Rey Maualuga re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. It's a two-year, $6.5 million contract.

The fifth-year player was an unrestricted free agent after finishing second on the team with 152 tackles in 2012.

--Garafolo also reported safety Kenny Phillips' one-year deal with the Eagles to be for $1.85 million.

--Right tackle Tyler Polumbus announced via Twitter that he has agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Washington Redskins after visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. "Well Jacksonville was tempting...but I couldn't leave these Coaches and Teammates. 2 more years!" he wrote.

Punter Sav Rocca also re-signed with the Redskins. Terms were not disclosed.

--Former San Diego Chargers linebacker Antwan Barnes tweeted he will sign with the New York Jets.
