The Vikings have lost five of their first games, the only win being a home victory over the then-0-4 Steelers. After Josh Freeman's ugly performance in the stead of Matt Cassel and Christian Ponder, Minnesota's quarterback situation is all the messier. The one constant for the Vikings over the last year and a half has been Adrian Peterson, but the reigning MVP has managed only 90 yards over the last two weeks.
After dropping two of the first three, the Packers have rebounded with three straight wins to take sole possession of the NFC North. Aaron Rodgers has been his usual All-Pro-caliber self, throwing for over 1,900 yards and 13 touchdowns en route to a 104.5 passer rating. The defense, however, has been the real surprise, holding opponents to an average of just 13 points over the last three weeks.
In order for the Vikings to have any shot in this one, they'll need to control the ground game with Peterson while stymieing the Packers' aerial attack. If not, they could find themselves even further back in the division.
