Oct 11 (The Sports Xchange) - Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins faces a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly punching a woman outside a nightclub in Houston in July, according to KHOU.com. Perkins and his brother-in-law were charged when the case was re-filed after being dismissed. Perkins posted a $1,000 bond on Thursday. The alleged incident occurred after two vehicles backed into each other outside the club and an altercation ensued. Perkins was a passenger in one of the vehicles. A woman involved, Miketta Cotton, told police that Perkins punched her brother, Ja'Keenan Cotton, in the head and then punched her in the face, causing her to fall down. - - The Detroit Pistons announced that guard Rodney Stuckey underwent successful surgery to repair a fracture on his right thumb. Stuckey will wear a splint on the thumb for two weeks and will be re-evaluated at that time. Stuckey was injured in an off-the-court accident. The digit was caught in the door jamb of Stuckey's car when the door closed, causing a distal phalanx fracture. - - The Milwaukee Bucks announced that forward Ekpe Udoh will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
