Navy 50, American 44

Navy blew a 12-point second-half lead, but rebounded in time to top American 50-44 and earn its second conference win of the season.

American (10-16, 5-6) never took the lead, however, and Navy went on a 7-0 run in the final three minutes to put the game away.

Three players finished in double figures for Navy, which ended a seven-game losing streak. Brandon Venturini finished with 13 points, Tilman Dunbar 12, and Thurgood Wynn 11. The Midshipmen hadn't won in a month, since knocking off Army 59-50 on Jan. 20.

Daniel Munoz led American with 15 points. Stephen Lumpkins, who entered the night ranked 20th in the nation with 9.7 rebounds per game, finished with 11 points and 12 boards.
