In Memoriam: Coach Clarence Brooks
COVER32/Ravens is sad to learn that longtime Baltimore Ravens Defensive Line coach Clarence “CB” Brooks has died. Our full condolences and prayers go out to his family, friends, and loved ones.
Since last December, Coach Brooks has battled against esophageal cancer. The Ravens gave him a leave of absence while he underwent chemotherapy, but he passed Saturday in Weston, Florida.

During Clarence Brooks’ tenure as DL coach (2005-15), @Ravens allowed NFL’s fewest rush TDs (89) & 2nd-fewest rushing ypg (94.2).

In the days to come, many defensive stalwarts will make statements about the effect that Coach Brooks had not only on the field for them, but off of the field. The Ravens community, and NFL community-at-large, has lost as true hero today.
The writers of Cover32/Ravens collectively salute the legacy of Clarence Brooks.
