Marcus Foligno finds time to fix hair in Shawn Thornton fight (Video)

It’s no secret that fighting is down in the NHL, so when there’s a chance to throw down with a pugilistic opponent of some renown, one has to seize the moment.

Like, for example, when Marcus Foligno of the Buffalo Sabres got into it with Shawn Thornton of the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night, after a scrum in front of Roberto Luongo’s crease. After some dancing between the two, it was ‘go’ time. And if Foligno was going to go, he was going to look good going at it.

Check out the Sabres forward fixing his coif before taking on the Panthers’ resident enforcer:

Here it is in glorious GIF form:

As the great Dirk Diggler said, “look good … feel good.” And Foligno must have felt pretty good in knocking Thornton to the ice to end their bout.

The reaction to this moment was pretty great from outside the rink. Here’s NHL Network’s Kevin Weekes and Mike Johnson barely containing themselves:

And of course, Foligno’s brother had to chime in …

Guessing this comes up once or twice at the Foligno family Christmas.
