Marc Gasol out indefinitely with re-aggravated abdominal tear

The Memphis Grizzlies suffered a huge blow Saturday when they announced center Marc Gasol will be out indefinitely after re-aggravating an abdominal tear in Friday's loss to the Hornets in New Orleans.

Gasol first suffered the injury on March 6 against Portland, but did not miss any games as a result. The new injury will cause him to snap a streak of 68 straight starts this season.

Gasol is averaging 14.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.0 steals in 35.2 minutes per game this season.

Ironically, Marc Gasol was lost on the same night that brother Pau Gasol returned to the Los Angeles Lakers after being out since Feb. 5 with a tear in the plantar fascia in his right foot.
