Man in serious condition after fall at M&T Stadium

A 48-year-old man was in serious condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after falling and hitting his head at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The incident occurred during the Baltimore Ravens' 19-3 win over the New York Jets.

Dan Clark of Ferndale, Md., fell on the steps of the upper deck inside the seating bowl, team spokesman Kevin Byrne informed the Sun via email.

The circumstances that led to the fall are not clear. Initially, it was incorrectly stated that he may have fell out of the upper deck.

Clark's brother, Jim Clark, returned from the restroom late in the first half and found his brother lying "in a pool of blood" and surrounded by stadium staff at the bottom of the staircase in Section 521, where they were sitting.

Clark was scheduled to have brain surgery at Shock Trauma on Sunday night.
