Louisiana-Lafayette coach Mark Hudspeth said four players who participated in an anti-Donald Trump video before Trump’s election victory Tuesday night have been disciplined by the team.

According to the Lafayette Advertiser, players were filmed dancing and singing along to the rap song “FDT” by YG and Nipsey Hussle. You can check out the official video for the song here, and we’re going to assume that you’re able to figure out what “FDT” stands for.

Hudspeth didn’t note what the punishment for the disciplined players was. From the Advertiser:

“I am obviously disappointed in a few of our players’ immature behaviors that they demonstrated in the locker room,” Hudspeth said shortly after UL’s win at Georgia Southern on Thursday night.

“We do not condone that type of behavior. It is not an example of our entire team. It does not represent our entire team.

“It has been handled,” he added, “and it will be a learning experience for these young men that were involved — although it was very few.”

The official video starts with a political commentary that begins with “As young people with an interest in the future of America … We have to exercise our intelligence and CHOOSE who leads us into it wisely. 2016 will be a turning point in this country’s history … The question is … in which direction will we go?”

And while the players certainly have a right to feel the way they do (though potentially expressed in a better manner), Hudspeth said some of the players who were in the video didn’t exercise their right to vote. That’s unfortunate. Though given that 47 percent of the voting-age population didn’t vote, the lack of civic action isn’t isolated.

Hudspeth also added some important context to the decisions some of his players made this week. Bravo, coach.

“But I will say this,” he added. “It’s also disappointing that so many people have vilified a few 19-year-olds making some immature decisions, and then they were the same ones that voted for someone that has done much worse by grabbing a female in the private areas for the office of the (President of the) United States of America.”

Per CNN, ULL had post-election graffiti written in chalk on campus including “Build Wall” and “[expletive] your safe space.”

The Ragin’ Cajuns moved to 4-5 with the win over Georgia Southern on Thursday. Former LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings threw for 210 yards and ran for 96 yards in a score.
