Jets Suffer 24-10 Defeat Against Chiefs
Percy Harvin had a big day, but it wasn't enough to avoid a difficult loss for the Jets against the Chiefs, 24-10, in Kansas City.
Michael Vick went 21 out of 28 for 196 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions. For the Chiefs, Alex Smith wound up 21 for 31 with 199 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Chris Johnson ran for 69 yards on 11 attempts in addition to two receptions for 32 yards. Harvin was a highlight, catching 11 balls for 129 yards.
The New York defense surrendered 113 yards rushing and 199 passing. They brought down Smith for one sack.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could not be contained, putting up 67 receiving yards and one touchdown. Running back Jamaal Charles also put together a noteworthy performance with 78 rushing yards and one touchdown.
The Jets host the Steelers (6-3) next week while the Chiefs head to Orchard Park to face the Bills (5-3).
