James, Wade, Chalmers to miss Heat-Knicks game

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade will sit out a second straight game on Tuesday night when the Miami Heat face the New York Knicks and teammate Mario Chalmers also will not play.

James is bothered by hamstring tightness and Wade and Chalmers are dealing with right ankle injuries, the team announced.

The status of all three will be reassessed Wednesday, according to Heat coach Eric Spoelstra.

Without James and Wade on Sunday night, the Heat (58-15) won 88-86 in San Antonio against the Spurs in a matchup of teams with the top records in the NBA.

Knicks center Tyson Chandler, who has been sidelined with a back injury, was uncertain whether he would play.

The Knicks (46-26) have won eight straight games and hold a 2-1 lead in the season series with the Heat.

Miami has secured home-court advantage in the Eastern Conference throughout the playoffs.
