Hossa set to return for Blackhawks

Chicago forward Marian Hossa passed concussion tests and planned to return to the ice Friday night for the Blackhawks' game against San Jose.

Hossa exited Tuesday night's game against Vancouver in the third period afer a hard hit in the back of the head from Canucks forward Jannik Hansen.

"I feel good," Hossa said. "Otherwise, if I had a little doubt, I wouldn't go and play. I wouldn't practice. Everything is clear.

Hossa is the one of Chicago's leaders this season with eight goals and six assists.

The Blackhawks (13-0-3) were seeking an NHL record for consecutive games swithout a regulation loss to start a season. They're tied at 16 with Anaheim (2006-07).

In other roster news, the Blackhawks reassigned goaltender Henrik Karlsson to Rockford of the American Hockey League. Karlsson served as a backup since he was recalled Feb. 15 from Rockford and did not appear in a game.
