Apparently, Granit Xhaka is capable of scoring only one way for his new club Arsenal: with a thundering strike from an outrageously long distance.

For the second straight game, the Swiss midfielder showed off his lethal left foot in the Gunners’ third-round League Cup match at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. Clearly, Forest defenders had yet to see video of Xhaka’s stunning goal over the weekend because they made the mistake of giving him plenty of space to take aim and fire another rocket into the back of the net.

Xhaka’s aforementioned golazo from the weekend closed the show in Arsenal’s 4-1 Premier League victory at Hull City. It was from around the same distance as Tuesday’s goal, and it was just as stunning in its power and pace.

After Xhaka’s opening goal against Forest, the Gunners cruised to a 4-0 victory thanks to Lucas Perez’s double and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s injury-time goal. The League Cup fourth-round draw will be held on Wednesday.
