Watch goalkeeper score with a punt that nutmegged the opposing goalie

Stop what you’re doing. We have a goalie goal.

From an actual goalie clearance. One that didn’t bounce until just before the goal line. AND NUTMEGGED THE OTHER GOALKEEPER.

Also, it won the game.

Our hero is called Salva. He is the goalkeeper for Pozuelo de Alarcon, from an affluent suburb of Madrid – known primarily for being the home of Cristiano Ronaldo and the place where you can buy a house for $15 million. But apparently, Pozuelo has some ball magicians of its own.

On Sunday, Salva dispatched a routine goal kick, taking a few bounces before launching the ball upfield against Villanueva del Pardillo at its modest Los Pinos stadium. It was a match in the seventh group of the fourth-tier Tercera Division – that’s probably confusing to you Spanish speakers, but there’s a Segunda Division and a Segunda Division B.

Salva had the wind on his side, and the ball carried the length of the field. It bounced right in front of Alvaro, his opposing goalkeeper, and then went through his legs and into the net, to the rightful shock of those surrounding the camera. Salva did the only thing he could have possibly done in such a situation: He almost ran the length of the field to celebrate with his dumbfounded teammates.

Salva’s goal, which came in the first half, was the only one of the game. The away win lifted Pozuelo to 11th place, while Villanueva del Pardillo remains stuck in the relegation zone.
