Aaron Rodgers-QB 1

He’s back folks. Rodgers was making plays all over the field last week against Atlanta and looked spectacular doing so. He’s easily a top five passer and when he uses his legs it brings a dual threat ability to both his game and fantasy profile. If you’re not starting Rodgers in your league, especially against a terrible Colts secondary you’re making a mistake.

Jordy Nelson-WR 1/WR 2

So much of Nelson’s fantasy viability this year has been tied in with his ability to score touchdowns. He’s not being targeted nearly as much as other receivers on this offense but he’s usually Rodgers first look when he’s going for a big play. Against a healthy NFL secondary I would probably not put Nelson in the WR 1 or 2 spot, but against a weak Colt’s defense he may be worth the gamble.

Ty Montgomery-WR 2/WR 3

If you need to start a player with a high floor, Ty Montgomery is your guy. He’s had a week off to rest and if they try to use him in a similar way as they did during the Bears game Montgomery is going to get enough touches to guarantee at least 7.5/10 points in standard leagues. While he’s probably not going to get the big bruising runs in the red zone, between the 20’s Montgomery is a safe WR 2 play. He’s also an excellent start in PPR leagues because Green Bay is using short passes to guys like Adams and Montgomery to make up for their lack of a running game.

DeVante Adams-WR 3/FLEX

Last week the Packers were funneling touches to DeVante Adams, but most of them were on short throws that were seemingly making up for their lack of a running attack. The Packers should have Ty Montgomery in this game which should reduce Adam’s role in the offense, but the way they game planned around him last week showed that he’s a viable fantasy receiver in deeper leagues. If you’re in a PPR league Adams is a great candidate.

Randall Cobb-Bench

All the word on Cobb has pointed to a game time decision, so do your best to avoid starting him if you can. If you’re looking for a wide receiver to fill that hole in your lineup, consider picking up a guy like Quincy Enunwa or Sammie Coates off waivers to play instead of Cobb. Even if Cobb does play he’s been battling a hamstring injury which will reduce his overall effectiveness.
