Falcons LT Jake Matthews (ankle) out Sunday vs. Bengals

One game into the regular season, and the Falcons already are going on their third left tackle for the year.

Sam Baker suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason, and on Friday's injury report, the Falcons announced that first-round pick Jake Matthews won't play Sunday against the Bengals with an injured ankle.

Thus, it appears Gabe Carimi will start at left tackle Sunday while Lamar Holmes will suit up at right tackle.

Carimi replaced Matthews -- who moved from right tackle to the left side after Baker's injury -- in the team's win over the Saints last Sunday, and the former tackle-turned-guard struggled. As the Atlanta Journal Constitution recounts, Carimi was called for three penalties and allowed four pressures against Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan.
