There were 12 games last night, so let's dive right in...

COLORADO 3 BOSTON 2

Dennis Seidenberg made his season debut last night after missing the first 14 games with a back injury. The Bruins eased him into the lineup by limiting him to 15:34 minutes.

Zdeno Chara and Ryan Spooner accounted for the Bruins' two goals.

Patrice Bergeron is on a three-game point streak. He has 15 points in as many games and while he might not keep this up, he's on route to surpass his career-high of 70 points, set back in 2006-07.

Matt Duchene was the hero tonight, scoring the game-winning goal and registering an assist.

After scoring the game-winner in his last contest, Jarome Iginla got an assist last night, giving him seven goals and 13 points in 16 games.

NY RANGERS 6 ST. LOUIS 3

Jake Allen's shutout streak came to an abrupt end as he allowed three goals in the first 14:38 minutes of this contest before being yanked. He only made two saves.

Henrik Lundqvist was coming off of a shutout too and was charged with all three Blues goals. That being said, he made 31 saves and picked up his fifth straight win.

Mats Zuccarello had a goal and two assists as he has now recorded at least a point in five of his last six contests. He has eight goals and seven assists in 16 contests in 2015-16.

Rangers defensemen Ryan McDonagh and Dan Girardi each netted their second goal of the campaign, although Girardi's marker was an empty netter.

St. Louis' Dmitrij Jaskin scored his first goal of the season. The 22-year-old now has 15 goals in 89 career NHL games.

WASHINGTON 5 PHILADELPHIA 2

Not exactly the showing the Flyers wanted in their first game since GM Ron Hextall expressed his concerns with the team's performance thus far this season.

Steve Mason has gotten off to a really rough start this season with a 3.55 GAA and .895 save percentage. That includes allowing five goals on 32 shots last night.

The Flyers actually did hold the lead twice as Scott Laughton made it 1-0 and Claude Giroux made it 2-1, but it was all Washington after that.

Jason Chimera was the unlikely difference maker as he scored two power-play goals and registered an assist. Prior to this contest he had just four points in 14 games.

MINNESOTA 3 CAROLINA 2 (OT)

This was just the third game all season that Carolina exited the first period with the lead. Just as disturbing is their record in those contests: 1-1-1.

Carolina also fell to just 4-2-1 in games where they score first. That might not sound too bad, but the Hurricanes' .571 winning percentage under those circumstances places them 21st overall in the league, which emphasizes just how big a strong start can be.

Andrej Nestrasil scored his first goal and point of the season for Carolina. He has 21 points in 64 career games.

Minnesota's Jason Zucker found the back of the net twice and was responsible for the overtime winner.

Defenseman Ryan Suter had two assists and has now only been held off of the scoresheet once in his last seven contests.

OTTAWA 3 VANCOUVER 2

Andrew Hammond now has a 2-0-2 record this season and is 22-1-4 in his career. He turned aside 33 of 35 shots in Thursday's victory.

Vancouver goalie Ryan Miller, on the other hand, has now lost his last four games, including Sunday's overtime defeat. He has a round 5-5-5 record to go along with a 2.37 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Erik Karlsson had a goal and an assist for the second straight contest. He has 16 points in 16 contests this season.

Fellow defenseman Chris Wideman was responsible for the game-winning goal though. The 25-year-old was playing in his fifth career game and already has two markers. Before you get too excited though, note that he's averaging just 15:12 minutes per contest and logged 12:20 last night.

Sven Baertschi and Alexander Edler accounted for Vancouver's two goals.

TAMPA BAY 3 CALGARY 1

This is just the third time in their last 10 games that the Lightning have scored at least three goals.

It's probably not coincidental that they were able to take a break from their struggles when facing the Flames as Calgary has been one of this season's biggest disappointments. After that loss the Flames are down to 5-11-1.

With Jonas Hiller (lower body) still hurt, Flames goalie Karri Ramo turned aside 26 of 29 shots for his second straight loss. He has a 3.54 GAA and .888 save percentage in nine games.

Steven Stamkos has been one of the Lightning's bright spots through their offensive struggles. He found the back of the net for the fourth time in his last six games last night.

Tyler Johnson has been one of the Lightning players that have underperformed, but he had a goal and an assist last night, giving him 10 points in 18 games.

BUFFALO 3 FLORIDA 2

Jonathan Huberdeau couldn't score a goal in his first 15 games, but that drought ended tonight. He did have seven assists going into this contest though and has now recorded four points in his last five games.

Buffalo's Brian Gionta also found the back of the net for the first time this season. He has five points in 13 contests in 2015-16.

Jaromir Jagr recorded an assist, giving the 43-year-old 13 points in 14 contests. That was his 1,815th career point, putting him just 35 shy of Gordie Howe for third place on the all-time list.

Linus Ullmark, 22, continued his strong start to his rookie campaign by turning aside 36 of 38 Panthers shots. He has a 4-2-0 record, 2.45 GAA, and .924 save percentage.

By contrast, Roberto Luongo only faced 19 shots, but the Panthers goaltender allowed at least three goals for the third straight start.

TORONTO 2 NASHVILLE 1 (SO)

Toronto has now won two games in a row for the first time this season. This was also the Maple Leafs' first shootout victory of 2015-16 after dropping their previous three attempts.

That's pushed the Maple Leafs up to 12 points in 16 contests, which is four more than the NHL-worst Columbus Blue Jackets. They're also technically out of the bottom-three now as Edmonton, which also has 12 points, has played in one more game.

The shootout went five rounds without a goal until Peter Holland finally broke through.

Toronto's Tyler Bozak scored the Leafs' lone goal in regulation time. He has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last five contests, giving him seven points in 12 games.

James Reimer has now allowed two or fewer goals in each of his last four games. He has a 2.33 GAA and .920 save percentage in 10 contests.

NEW JERSEY 3 CHICAGO 2

Cory Schneider has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his last six games. This is the second time he's faced Chicago over that span and he turned aside 27 of 29 shots in both contests.

Sergey Kalinin scored the deciding goal with just 2:27 minutes left in the third period. The 24-year-old rookie now has two goals and four points in 15 contests in 2015-16.

New Jersey's Kyle Palmieri finished with a goal and an assist, making this his third multipoint game over his last four contests. He has six goals and 14 points in 16 games this season.

Patrick Kane extended his goal scoring streak to five goals and his overall point streak to 11 contests. He's tied with Tyler Seguin for the league lead with 25 points in 16 games.

Blackhawks rookie Artemi Panarin also found the back of the net, extending his own point streak to three games. His 16 points gives him the league lead among Calder Trophy contenders.

DALLAS 6 WINNIPEG 3

This is the fourth time in Dallas' last five games that they've scored at least four goals. Unsurprisingly, they're 4-1-0 over that span.

Not that the Stars are simply just a hot team. They've been one of the league's best thus far with a 13-4-0 record, thanks largely to their 62 goals for.

It should be noted though that this one was closer than the final score suggested. Going into the final two minutes of the game, neither team has led by more than one goal at any point and Dallas only scored the game-winning goal at 14:05 of the final frame. Dallas got two empty-netters though to skew the final result.

Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn chipped in, as is typically the case, but tonight Ales Hemsky was also a major factor with two goals and an assist. Hemsky has three markers and 11 points in 16 contests this season.

Ondrej Pavelec has now lost three straight games and has surrendered four goals in back-to-back contests. He has a 2.81 GAA and .905 save percentage in 12 contests in 2015-16.

ARIZONA 4 EDMONTON 1

Anders Nilsson was rewarded for helping Edmonton beat Anaheim on Wednesday by putting him back out there Thursday night, but that didn't work out. He stopped just 17 of 21 shots, giving him a 3.21 GAA and .902 save percentage in seven games this season.

Taylor Hall accounted for the Oilers' lone goal, bringing him up to seven goals and 11 assists in 17 games this season.

Arizona's Max Domi had a goal and an assist last night. He's been one of the league's top rookies thus far with eight goals and 15 points in 16 games.

Brad Richardson isn't known for his offensive contributions, but he also chipped in two assists for the Coyotes. He now has two goals and five points in 16 contests in 2015-16.

Mike Smith has had an up-and-down campaign, but he's on the better end of that right now as he's allowed two or fewer goals in three of his last four games. He has a 2.94 GAA and .909 save percentage in 14 contests.

LOS ANGELES 2 NY ISLANDERS 1

Kings backup goalie Jhonas Enroth improved to 3-0-0. He has allowed just two goals on 96 shots so far this season.

Jaroslav Halak has now lost three straight contests despite allowing a reasonable seven goals over that span.

Milan Lucic has scored a modest four goals this season, but three of them have been game-winners, including his marker last night. His career-high for game-winning goals is seven, set back in 2010-11.

Brock Nelson netted the Islanders' lone goal on Thursday. He has four markers and five assists in 17 games this season.

Drew Doughty is on a three-game point streak after finding the back of the net against the Islanders. He's tied for eighth among defensemen with 11 points in 16 games.
