Collison, Clippers reach deal
Free-agent point guard Darren Collison has reached an agreement on a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to multiple reports Saturday night.
The deal includes a player option for the second year and is worth $1.9 million, USA Today reported,
Collison, a four-year veteran, has played for three NBA teams. Last season, he averaged 12 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Dallas Mavericks.
The move to the Clippers is a return to Los Angeles for Collison, who played at UCLA. He also will be reunited with point guard Chris Paul, a former New Orleans teammate.
