Chargers exercise fifth-year option on Corey Liuget
The San Diego Chargers want to keep Corey Liuget in town for at least another year.
According to CBSSports.com, the Chargers picked up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract. He was taken in the first round of the 2011 draft by San Diego. Since becoming a Charger, Liuget has tallied 13.5 sacks in three seasons.
The Chargers had until May 3 to pick up the option.
The fifth-year option will cost the Chargers $6.969 million.
