Cardinals' Wacha will start Game 2

St. Louis Cardinals rookie right-hander Michael Wacha will get the start for Game 2 of the World Series on Thursday, manager Mike Matheny announced Tuesday.

Wacha, 22, didn't allow a run in 13 2/3 innings against the Dodgers in the NLCS and was named the series MVP.

The Red Sox have yet to officially announce their Game 2 starter, but some reports expect it to be right-hander John Lackey.

Jon Lester and Adam Wainwright will be the starters in Game 1 on Wednesday.
