C Cook back at practice with Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals center Kyle Cook returned to practice Wednesday under a roster exemption.

Cook (ankle) is on injured reserve, but new NFL rules that designate a three-week window during which players may practice without counting against the 53-man active roster limit. The Bengals have the option of adding him to the roster during that period.

The fifth-year veteran finished last season with 50 straight starts before he injured the ankle during the 2012 preseason.
