Browns place Dion Lewis on injured reserve

The Cleveland Browns placed all-purpose running back Dion Lewis on injured reserve, a foregone conclusion ever since he boke his fibula during the second preseason game.

Lewis joined the Browns via a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was slated to back up Trent Richardson since Montario Hardesty has been sidelined after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Now, Brandon Jackson and Chris Ogbonnaya are the primary candidates to back up Richardson.

Meanwhile, the Browns cut wide receiver Jordan Norwood.

Norwood caught 13 passes last season for the Browns in two games prior to suffering a foot injury.
