Broncos' Manning earns AFC Offensive Player of the Month

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning tied another NFL record Thursday when he earned his sixth career AFC Offensive Player of the Month award.

Manning joined Kurt Warner (2001) as the only players with 10 TDs, 1,300 yards, a 70 percent completion percentage and five wins in December as the Broncos (13-3) took the top seed in the AFC playoffs.

Manning completed 123 of 174 passes (70.7 percent) for 1,399 yards with 11 touchdowns with three interceptions and a 108.4 passer rating in December. He also won the award in October. He's one of seven players to win the honor six times since the award was instituted in 1986.
