Broken clavicle ends season for Jackets' Dorsett

The Columbus Blue Jackets placed forward Derek Dorsett on season-ending injured reserve Friday with a fractured clavicle.

Dorsett, 26, was injured while going hard to the net during the first period of the Jackets' 2-1 overtime win over Vancouver on Thursday night at Nationwide Arena in his only shift. He immediately skated to the locker room and the broken clavicle was diagnosed.

The Jackets' seventh-round draft pick in 2006, Dorsett had three goals, nine points and 53 penalty minutes this season.
