Blue Jackets sign F Anderson, recall C Collins

The Columbus Blue Jackets signed forward and former fourth-round draft pick Josh Anderson to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The Blue Jackets also recalled center Sean Collins from its American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

The 19-year-old Anderson was the 95th player taken in the 2012 NHL draft. He appeared in one preseason game with the Blue Jackets this year. He was assigned to the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights where he has 42 goals and 44 assists in 148 career OHL games.

Collins, 24, skated in one game for Columbus on Oct. 17 against Montreal. He made five appearances with the Blue Jackets last season and didn't score. He was the Blue Jackets' ninth pick, 187th overall, in the 2008 draft.
