Best XI: Week 33

It was a short Premier League gameweek with six teams sitting this one out so we naturally had a low scoring week. Add that to the fact that Chelsea and Manchester United played in a low-scoring 1-0 match, and the value goes down even further. The result? Five Best XI players from Leicester City.

Best XI

I never thought I’d see five Leicester players in the Best XI but a clean sheet and a win will do that in a very, very slow week. It just goes to show that sometimes we need to look deep in the rotations whenever we have a limited gameweek.

Points

With only seven games this weekend, we had a non-surprising low score of just 198.

Cost

This week the BEST XI cost £ 94.3M*. The new price of our Best XI (if you were to try to create this team now after the price changes) is £ 120.25M. That’s a 27.5% increase in price.

*Keep in mind the cost does NOT include any substitutes and is thus 96M instead of 100M, which assumes one might have four £ 1M substitutes.

MVP

This week’s MVP is Harry Kane. The striker had four shots on target, which alone brought him 12 points, and then added a goal for good measure. The Spurs forward now has six appearances in the Best XI and despite his sky high price, he is a great option for fantasy managers week in and week out. He has proven to get phantom points as well, so he is a good option in many of the weeks where he doesn’t score either.
