Aldon Smith released on $20,000 bail

Troubled San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith is free on $20,000 bail after being booked for making a false report of a bomb threat.

It's a felony charge punishable with up to a year in jail if convicted.

Smith hasn't been assigned a court date yet.

Smith has previous arrests for driving under the influence twice.

He has pleaded not guilty to three felon ycounts of possession of illegal assault rifles.

Smith allegedly was drinking, according to police, prior to his run-in with TSA agents today when he allegedly said he had a bomb during a security line.
