adidas Introduces the D Rose 5 and Crazylight With Boost Technology

adidas's Boost technology, a prominent feature of the brand's running shoes that has received rave reviews, is officially making its way to the hardwood. Derrick Rose's upcoming signature shoe, the D Rose 5, and the adidas Crazylight will both be outfitted with Boost cushioning, foam padding designed to return energy back into your legs to increase comfort and stave off fatigue.

The D Rose 5 Boost lands during Rose's second consecutive off-season attempting to come back from injury, although the Chicago Bulls point guard has said he could play right now if he needed to. Aside from Boost, the shoe also features updated Sprintweb technology on the upper and prominently displayed quotations personal to Rose, such as "Not Supposed To Be Here" and "Everybody Eats."
Crazylight Boost

The Crazylight Boost stays true to its name, coming in at 11.6 ounces and featuring a mesh upper and a new collar design meant to combine the benefits of a low top and a mid top. Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is the face of the shoe, and he already has his own custom pair (shown above).
The Crazylight Boost drops Sept. 1 for $140. The D Rose 5 Boost will be available Oct. 23 for the same price.
