Michael Waltrip’s driving career is officially coming to a close after the 2017 Daytona 500.

The part-time driver and full-time broadcaster announced his decision Thursday. Waltrip is entered in the Feb. 26 race with Premium Motorsports in the No. 15 car, one of the numbers his Michael Waltrip Racing team ran until it ceased operations after the 2015 season.

Waltrip, 54, is a two-time Daytona 500 winner. The 2001 Daytona 500 was his first Cup Series and the win came in his 17th season. Three of his four Cup wins have come at Daytona while the other win came in the fall race at Talladega in 2003.

He stopped driving full-time in 2009 and has driven in 26 races (all but two at Daytona and Talladega) in the seven years since while serving as an analyst for Fox Sports.
