2014 Outlook: Channing Frye

There might not be a player with a larger gap between his Rotisserie value and his points league value than Channing Frye. Brandon Bass outscored him through 82 games in total Fantasy points, but 2.0 made threes per game and 82 percent free throw shooting made Frye a very useful big in category leagues. In Phoenix Frye's value took a hit because of the multitude of forwards on the roster, and in his new role with the Magic, he'll face a similar glut. But the one thing that might boost Frye's value next year is the fact that Orlando's only other proven shooter is Ben Gordon. Frye will be making $8 million a year, so hopefully the Magic get their money's worth by giving him big minutes. In category leagues you can start looking for Frye after the middle of the draft, but in points leagues leave him until the end.
