Hornets interview Jazz's Corbin

Utah Jazz assistant coach Ty Corbin interviewed for the New Orleans Hornets' coaching job on Monday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Corbin could be the final candidate in the first round of interviews with Hornets general manager Jeff Bower, sources said.

The Hornets have interviewed several candidates for the job, but sources say the front-runners for a second round of meetings include Boston Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau, Portland Trail Blazers assistant Monty Williams, former New Jersey Nets coach Lawrence Frank and former Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson.

While Johnson has been publicly perceived as the favorite, sources say he is not the front-runner for the job.
