Blazers give Aldridge five-year extension

The Portland Trail Blazers have reached agreement with forward LaMarcus Aldridge(notes) on a five-year extension worth more than $65 million, NBA sources said.

The deal assures Aldridge between $65-68 million with incentives that could push the total value closer to $70 million.

Aldridge, 24, averaged 18.1 points and 7.5 rebounds last season.

The Trail Blazers previously signed All-Star guard Brandon Roy(notes) to a five-year extension in August that could be worth more than $80 million.
