Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A verbal crutch is a word you use to link sentences together inappropriately or as a replacement for a natural pause. Common ones include "um," "ah," "like," "so," "now," "we're talking about practice" and "you know." Griz forward Zach Randolph(notes) is especially fond of that, you know, last one. Take a pause, man.

Cheers, "bystandervarios" and The Commercial Appeal.

I hope this doesn't catch on it Rap/Hip Hop music. Its bad enough accidentally flipping to the local radio station to hear a "yeah" at the end of each line, which is the "ARTIST'S" way of rhyming.

Verbigeration ~ noun. A word or phrase repeated endlessly and meaninglessly.
To rely on the phrase "verbal crutch" when there is a more apt term available is nothing more than, well, a verbal crutch... And now you know.

The counter missed two of Rudy Gay's "you know" dimes at 1:22 and 1:24. He makes it a one-syllable word like "nyow".

a whole lot of nba teams are guilty of verbigeration, ado verbal crutch isn't the right word. Try Jordan and Pippen, they always said "you know". A LOT of people say, YOU KNOW.....
