Big League Stew - MLB

Ever wonder what would happen to Wrigley Field once the Cubs win the World Series and the Chads and Trixies get wiped out of Wrigleyville the face of the planet? History Channel's "Life After People" series took a look at the possibility during last night's episode, imagining what would happen to the Friendly Confines after all of humankind — except for the eternal Yosh Kawano, of course —  met its extinction. Scary stuff in the time of swine flu, especially for someone (ie: me) who lives a mile west of the place.

I'm not a big channel surfer during the season, so I missed last night's airing. They'll be showing it again a few more times though, so get your DVRs set.

just cuz the cubs are 1 of 2 teams that actually keep the tradition in baseball. there you can actually concentrate on the gamw without all the other messed up stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with it. to voytek cubs are way more popular white sox get like 30,000 a game but the cubs get 40,000 fans a game

The LPTrixie site has been "coming back soon" for a couple years now... so sad. Such great satire. I can only assume those behind it are not at The Onion.

post #7 "fry" - who won the world series 4 years ago ('05)? When was the last time the Cubs were even in the world series, let alone won the series? Exactly. ide rather have a world series ring than 10,000 more fans

#7 fry, if you compare the number of actual baseball fans I would say that they're dead even. The extras are mainly fratboy drunks, richie rich who are looking for a trendy place to hang out, and tourists.

Wrigleyville is not equal to Lincoln Park.
