College Tailgating Gets a Serious Upgrade

Georgia Southern and SMU may not be powerhouses on the field, but they are making serious strides in the tailgating department.

Both schools will offer VIP game day experiences this season in the form of modified suites.

Through a company called Gameday Traditions, fans of Georgia Southern will be able to purchase a mini-mansion for their pre-game festivities that includes high-end electronics, a private bathroom and outdoor features like a grill and lawn furniture.

At SMU, fans will be able to rent a modified shipping container designed by Block Party Suites. Amenities include couches, TVs and  a small roof deck.

Both experiences will cost at least $5,000 per game. Hopefully the dollars spent can somehow equal more wins for these teams on the field.
