Veteran NFL kicker Jay Feely responds to fan's tweet, earns tryout with Lions
Jay Feely has quite a presence on social media. The 38-year-old kicker's nearly 76,000 followers on Twitter prove that. And when frustrated Detroit sports fan Mike Tanzini called out the 13-year NFL veteran Sunday following the Lions' bitter 17-14 home loss to Buffalo (in which now former kicker Alex Henery missed all three of his field goal attempts), Feely responded within five minutes.
My only question is.. What the hell is @jayfeely up to these days?

Evidently, Feely didn't have to wait long. The career 82.7 percent field goal kicker, who was released by the Arizona Cardinals in late August, will try out for the Lions Tuesday. Ah, the power of social media. Former Denver Bronco Matt Prater and one-time Buccaneer Connor Barth will also audition for the team. As for Tanzini, he has a simple request if Feely joins his sixth NFL club.
Best of luck to @jayfeely tomorrow at his workout!! All I'm asking for is a few free tickets if you get the call. #MichiganMan #GoodLuck !
