Sometimes it can be hard to slow down when you're sprinting at full speed. Free safety Kenny Ladler of Vanderbilt demonstrated this truth at the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis. After registering an unofficial 4.75-second time during the test, he officially wiped out.

During a preseason game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Dodgers Yasiel Puig and Carl Crawford tried to pull off the old hit-and-run. While Puig could only manage to hit the ball into foul territory Crawford was less successful as he timed his slide into second base — a good 10 feet short — and landed on his chin.
