Julie Alexandria gets Gatorade shower

New Washington Nationals sideline reporter Julie Alexandria received quite a welcome Thursday night during her first game covering the team for MASN following the Nats' 8-1 victory over the Cardinals. But it was anything but a warm one. In fact, it was the exact opposite.

While interviewing Gio Gonzalez (who gave up only one hit in eight innings of work in by far his best start of 2013), Alexandria and the lefty were doused with a bucket of Gatorade. The reporter, who has worked a variety of different gigs in sports and entertainment broadcasting, took the impromptu shower in stride, saying "They warned me that was going to happen! I take it this is a good thing." She then finished her brief interview with the guy who finished third in balloting for the 2012 National League Cy Young Award. Welcome to the team, Julie!

A guy who wants no part of the company he joined during Game 3 of the Nets-Bulls series is Kris Humphries. That's because Taj Gibson posterized Kim Kardashian's ex-husband in a major way during Chicago's 79-76 victory over Brooklyn to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference showdown.

And offensive tackle Eric Fisher became the first Mid-American Conference player in history to be selected No.1 overall when the Kansas City Chiefs picked the Central Michigan product to kick off the NFL draft.
