Check out U.S. Soccer's new uniforms for the USMNT and the USWNT

After weeks of speculation, the United States men's and women's national teams released their new uniforms on Thursday. They will be worn at this summer's all-important Copa America Centenario on the men's side and at the Olympics by the women.

Sporting the new and simplified United States Soccer Federation crests, the home uniform is a white jersey with blue sleeves and white shorts and socks. The away outfit is a black jersey, with one red and one blue sleeve, and black shorts and socks.

Basic and simple. And the very same ones that had been leaked online already.

Check them out:

As ever, the FC Yahoo brain trust spent hours sequestered in the company's Purple Thinking Pod™ trying to come up with some kind of take or opinion on the uniforms. Chinese food was ordered. The windows fogged up from the steam generated by our heated discussions, alarming our colleagues and the security people.

But as a group, our towering collective intellect couldn't muster much more than: "They're jerseys."

However, a person from Nike – Scott Munson, vice president of football apparel, who we guess also handles soccer jerseys – told SI.com, which had the scoop on the uniforms that "The U.S. Soccer Federation pushes us like nobody else. They want us to be bold and want to take risks at times."

"It is always non-negotiable that the home should be undeniable American with a strong patriotic read," Munson continued. "It will be there with all the right balances of color and aesthetic. The away frees us up to maybe push it. We wanted to do it unexpectedly patriotic, to be strong, bold and confident just like we want the players to feel when they pull it on."

So there.

Uniforms.
