Trabzonspor fans get Fenerbahce game abandoned, make goalkeeper disappear

Fenerbahce's attempts to extend their lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig were thwarted on Monday night when their game at Trabzonspor was abandoned.

After Fener took a 1-0 lead through Emmanuel Emenike, the fierce rivalry between the two sides became clear when home fans continually threw missiles onto the pitch. There were flares, toilet paper and even something that resembled a tiny alien asteroid:

The referee stopped the match twice before adding an extra ten minutes to the first half. When behavior in the stands showed no signs of improving, the match was called off. The Guardian say fans clashed with police in the streets of Trabzon after the game too.

Some reports suggested that Fener goalkeeper Volkan Demirel had holes burnt in his shirt by the missiles, but the fans' most impressive trick was making the goalkeeper completely disappear:

Seconds later, Demirel appeared at the top of the opposite stand wearing a cape.
