The U.S. lost 1-0 to Germany, but both sides still advanced to the round of 16, making the match fun for everyone. Everyone except U.S. midfielder Jermaine Jones. In the first half, Jones smacked right into the side of the referee, who is apparently made of bricks, as both were watching the ball instead of where they were going.
In the second half, the man who scored the U.S.'s first goal against Portugal smashed into teammate Alejandro Bedoya, leaving him with a bloody nose.
So forgive Jermaine Jones if he celebrates his team's improbable place in the round of 16 by not moving for a while.
