Michael Essien is calling Jose Mourinho ‘daddy’ in public again

When Michael Essien joined Real Madrid on loan from Chelsea just before the summer transfer window shut, he was very happy to be reunited with manager Jose Mourinho. So happy, in fact, that he repeatedly and gleefully called Mourinho "daddy" during his press conference upon arrival in Madrid. It was...unusual. And now, Essien has done it again during a press conference ahead of Real Madrid's Champions League tie against Manchester United. This time with Mourinho sitting right next to him.

From Football Espana:

“I am enjoying every minute with my daddy Mourinho,” he told a Press conference.

“My dad has given me the opportunity to be here and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

“I try to work hard for the team and want to win every single game. He's always happy and working hard with the players."

During the same press conference, Mourinho once again reiterated that he wants to return to England, but not as Alex Ferguson's replacement at Man United. From ESPN:

"I do not believe I can be Ferguson's replacement," he said. "I think we will finish our careers around the same time. Him at 90, me at 70. I love everything about England. We will see when that is. Normally, after Real Madrid, that would be my next step."

I don't think any of us are capable of imagining how happy Essien would be if Mourinho followed him back to Chelsea.
