Mario Balotelli curls in lovely goal after first penalty miss of his career

Pepe Reina became the first goalkeeper to save a Mario Balotelli penalty kick in a competitive match during Napoli's 2-1 win against Milan. Balotelli was a perfect 26 for 26 from the penalty spot in his career for both club and country, but the former Liverpool keeper was able to stop Balotelli's 61st-minute attempt to preserve Napoli's 2-0 lead.

Balotelli did get a bit of payback in the first minute of added time when he curled in a very nice goal from just outside the area (video above) before getting booked a second time at the end of the match for dissent. The goal wasn't enough to keep Milan from losing to Napoli at the San Siro for the first time since 1986.

Here's Balo's penalty...

So the very same weekend that John Obi Mikel scores his first league goal for Chelsea, Balotelli misses his first penalty. This season is delightfully weird. Don't be surprised if Jose Mourinho declares Rafa Benitez a better manager than himself next.
