Franck Ribery’s ‘monster glitter’ watch is all of those things and more

Losing the Champions League final at home to Chelsea on penalties was surely a difficult experience for Franck Ribery, but as he turns his attention from club to country, he now has a ridiculous watch.

Ribery wore the large custom watch that Bild calls a "monster glitter clock" during a press conference as France prepares for Euro 12 and it proved to be an attention grabber. The diamond encrusted wrist weight features a large No. 7 (Ribery's shirt number) beside the actual timepiece, which features the initials of his wife Wahiba, his daughters Hizya and Shahinez and, of course, his own at the 12 o'clock position.

The Champions League trophy won't tell you what time it is and it also won't remind you what your family's initials are. So clearly Franck Ribery is the real winner.
