Bayern Munich clinch the Bundesliga title in record time, Pep Guardiola 'looks forward to getting better'

With a 3-1 win at Hertha Berlin, undefeated Bayern Munich have clinched their record 24th Bundesliga title with a record seven matches left to play and a 25-point lead over second-place Borussia Dortmund. This continues their streak of gobbling up just about every trophy in existence despite changing managers after winning the treble last season. In fact, you should check and see if your dad's 1976 amateur men's over-40 division bowling trophy is still in the basement, because Bayern probably have that now too.

Of course, there is still much for Bayern to play for — an undefeated season, as well as defending their Champions League title and the DFB Pokal. As terrifying as it may sound, manager Pep Guardiola says in a video for Adidas that he still feels Bayern can not just continue this status quo of domination, but improve and "look forward to getting better."

"WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?!" every other club on the planet is surely bellowing at Guardiola after hearing that. If Bayern improve any further, their players will morph into time traveling unicorns.

But Guardiola isn't just blurting out niceties here. He actually seems to believe that improvement on total domination is humanly possible for Bayern. During the match against Hertha, he acted more like a beleaguered manager desperately fighting a relegation battle than a man who already had the league won. These are all images from this match...

Maybe that unrelenting intensity is what's keeping Bayern sharp through this unparalleled period of success because after all of Guardiola's comical anguish, this was the result...
