Hornets adding Solomon Jones?

Solomon Jones only got to play 10 games with the Los Angeles Clippers this season before getting waived. The 6-10 forward/center averaged 0.6 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.

Now the word from the New Orleans Times-Picayune is that the New Orleans Hornets may be adding the 27-year-old Florida native to the roster for the next 10 days.

Jones joined the NBA in 2006 after being selected with the third pick of the draft's second round by the Atlanta Hawks. He spent three seasons there before moving on to the Indiana Pacers for the next two. His best season came in 2009-10 when he played in 52 games, averaging 13 minutes, 4.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game for Indiana.

The 5-23 Hornets could use any help they can get. Perhaps they are hoping he can somehow turn into another Jeremy Lin kind of story.
