EHC Biel lost 3-1 to HC Lugano Tuesday night in the Swiss league, but their goaltender provided a memorable moment to take away from the game.
With the game scoreless in the third period, former NHLer Tim Stapleton had a golden chance for Lugano to take a 1-0 lead. The only problem? Biel netminder Simon Rytz went full scorpion with a desperation kick save.
Dominik Hasek would be proud.
Lugano would finally break through minutes later and score all three of their goals in a span of 9:44.
