NHL Three Stars: Jaromir Jagr makes history in Panthers' win
No. 1 Star: Jaromir Jagr, Florida Panthers
Jagr had two goals, tying and then passing Brett Hull for sole possession of third on the NHL’s all-time goal-scoring ranking, as the Panthers defeated the Winnipeg Jets, 3-1. Jagr now has 742 goals for his career and 20 on the season.
No. 2 Star: Tyson Barrie, Colorado Avalanche
Tyson Barrie was the Avs’ offense on Saturday night, as he assisted on John Mitchell’s goal and scored two of his own in their 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Barrie played 25:11 and had seven shots on goal. Calvin Packard made 25 saves for the win.
No. 3 Star: Brooks Orpik, Washington Capitals
Offensive juggernaut Brooks Orpik scored the game-winner in the third period with less than four minutes left in regulation and added an assist in the Capitals’ 4-3 win over the New Jersey Devils. It was the first game-winning goal of his career.
Honorable Mention: David Backes and Vladimir Tarasenko had a goal and an assist as the shorthanded St. Louis Blues topped the Arizona Coyotes, 6-4, despite two more goals from Max Domi. … The Boston Bruins scored six straight goals in their 7-3 rout over the Dallas Stars. Brad Marchand scored twice, hitting 30 goals on the season. … Antoine Roussel had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick for the Dallas Stars, fighting Adam McQuaid. … Tanner Pearson had the overtime game-winner for the Los Angeles Kings in their 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators. Jonathan Quick made 33 saves. … Dion Phaneuf’s unassisted goal in the third period forced overtime, and Kyle Turris had the only tally in the shootout as the Ottawa Senators defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2. … Shane Gostisbehere scored his fourth OT game-winner of the season and extended his rookie-record point streak for a defenseman to 15 games in the Philadelphia Flyers’ 5-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. ... Steven Stamkos scored goal No. 300 in the Tampa Bay Lightnings' 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Dishonorable Mention: Alex Steen had a goal and an assist in 2:13 of ice time, but he was then injured on a shove into the boards from Kevin Connauton. … Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who sustained a lower-body injury in the first minute of the game while tripping Tarasenko. He’s day-to-day. … Louis Domingue gave up four goals on 10 shots before he was pulled, but he returned to the game in the second for the Coyotes. … The Flyers lost Steve Mason to injury in the third period. … Jonathan Bernier was pulled for the Maple Leafs.
