Lee Stempniak’s tough night: bloodied in fight, scores own goal in loss to Oilers (Video)

Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in the latest edition of the "Battle of Alberta" could also be dubbed "Lee Stempniak and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."

Later, after getting cleaned up and with Flames having squandered a 2-0 lead, the Oilers were trying to close out the game with an empty-net goal when they received some assistance from, you guessed it, Stempniak:

Oof. Tough night. But chin up, Lee. It's the year of the own goal in hockey. Someone was bound to be next on the list.
