Laval Predators brawl leaves a trail of carnage and suspensions (Video)

All we are saying ... is give peace a chance!

That’s probably what some big names from the Laval Predators who play in the North American Hockey League have thought. This is because they were all suspended for long periods of time after the below absurd looking brawl.

The game took place Sunday during a pre-game warmup between Laval and the Ste. Georges Cool-FM.

From Recorder.ca:

Predators co-owner Eric Lajeunesse, CEO Lucien Paquette and assistant coach Dannick Lessard all received two-season bans on Tuesday.

Other supplemental discipline is expected to come down on Wednesday.

And…

A total of 114 penalty minutes were handed out in the 6-3 Laval victory, according to the online game sheet.

However, only a two-minute penalty -- a minor cross-checking penalty given to Laval's Chris Cloutier -- was assigned to the time of the opening faceoff (0:00 of the first period).

Now, if you believe that fighting gives teams momentum, this probably gave both squads an extraordinary amount of umph in their game. Six goals? Perhaps the fight propelled Laval to this number. Or it did absolutely nothing except entertain the crowd.

(Please note sarcasm on views that fights create momentum).
